About the project
The Cherkasy automobile bridge is a part of the huge transport complex of the Cherkasy dam on the Kremenchuk reservoir. The complex consists of a concrete-earth dam and a metal bridge.
This dam is the largest in Ukraine, reaching, together with the bridge, a length of 13.5 km. Up to 11 thousand cars pass through the bridge per day.
The metal truss bridge, 1174 m long and 7 m wide, has shipbuilding spans – the third and fourth from the right bank, are 100 m long and 12.5 m high. The depth under the bridge reaches 15 m. The movement of pedestrians and cyclists across the bridge is completely blocked. The bridge, as a critical infrastructure facility, is guarded around the clock.
During the reconstruction of this bridge, Technobasalt®fiber was widely used. Our products found their application in the construction of a new asphalt concrete road surface.
